Michel Sajrawy stammt aus Palästina. Er studierte
Komposition am London College of Music and Media und arbeitete mit
einer Reihe von international renommierten Musikern. 2002 erhielt er
die Auszeichnung „Beste Musik“ vom Professional Committee of Arts.
Im Jahr 2004 nahm er sein Debütalbum „Yathrib“ auf. Er fusioniert
Jazz, Rock und Musik des Nahen Ostens zu einer spannenden Mischung.
Mit seiner Band spielte er in Palästina, auf Tourneen in Deutschland
(Leipziger Jazztage (2006), Genf und dem Jerusalem-Festival (2007)
mit Nigel Kennedy.
